On April 27th, TCRP staff participated in SafePlace’s Denim Day. Staff was asked to wear denim to support survivors of sexual assault and to raise awareness of sexual assault misconceptions.
Denim was chosen to honor a survivor of sexual assault in Italy, who, according to the Supreme Court of Appeals in Rome, must have helped her assailant take off her jeans since they were too tight for him to take off without her help. TCRP staff joined thousands of people in the Austin area to bring awareness that there is no excuse for rape.
