Mark Kinzler

Mark Kinzler recently returned to his home state of Texas after spending several years in Portland, Oregon. Before joining the TCRP VAWA team, Mark practiced immigration law in Oregon and focused on defending immigrants against deportation in federal immigration court. Since graduating from law school in 2005, Mark has provided legal representation to immigrants in various types of legal proceedings including federal court, state court, and proceedings before the Department of Homeland Security. Mark has also been involved in immigrant’s rights projects and the movement for comprehensive immigration reform. In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar, cycling, and being outdoors.

Mark has a BA in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin, and he received his law degree from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon.
