Cynthia was born in El Paso and raised in Houston. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Houston. While attending UH, she did an internship with a Houston City Council member and a Congressional internship in Washington, D.C. She also worked as a Legislative Aide for a Houston State Representative during the special session in 2006.
In May 2010, Cynthia was awarded a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of San Diego. She participated in study-abroad programs in Paris, Spain, Morocco, and Guadalajara. Cynthia has enjoyed volunteering for political campaigns and with Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas. And now, she is very proud to be working for TCRP and to be part of the new disability rights program in West Texas.
